Fr Drew Darnell, Missionary Priest

Father Drew Darnell is originally from Southeast Missouri but has made his home in Western North Carolina for the past 9 years. He lives in beautiful Henderson County with his beautiful bride of 14 years and two sons, Peyton and Callen. Drew is planting Blue Ridge Anglican Mission as a bivocational Missionary Priest. Fr Drew also serves as a Canon Missioner in the Orthodox Anglican Church.

Resa Darnell, Music Director

Resa Darnell is  a native of Western North Carolina, having been born and raised in Henderson County. She graduated from North Henderson High School before going on to complete her Bachelors in History Education at Mars Hill University. She stays busy with two young boys, as well as spending time at her parents’ farm. She is excited to partner with her husband, Drew, in planting this Anglican Church in her hometown. She is very passionate about mentoring young people and helping them find their value in Christ alone.

Deacon Christopher Little

Deacon Christopher Little is originally from Southern California but spent 36 years in Colorado, where he attended seminary and worked as a hospital chaplain, before moving to Henderson County in June 2016 with his wife Jeannine. He and Jeannine have two grown daughters, Michelle and Nicole, and five grandchildren, Annelise, Emma, Caden, Devon and Evy. In addition to serving at Blue Ridge Anglican Mission, Deacon Chris is the staff chaplain at CarePartners Rehabilitation Hospital in Asheville, NC.

Deacon Ric Smith

Deacon Ric Smith is a lifelong resident of western North Carolina and currently resides in Lenoir. He is in a loving relationship with Heather Patterson and the two of them are praying over and planning to be married in October 2018. He is the proud dad of three teens, Isaiah, Thomas, and Miriam. Heather is the proud mother of two teen daughters, Catie and Bethany. Ric has worked in the mental health field for 21 years and is currently attending seminary. He has a love and passion for the hurting, including those struggling with pain caused by the church, those with mental health and substance abuse issues, etc. He has a desire to bring the love, mercy, and grace of God to the hurting in a real and tangible way.

The Most Revd Thomas Gordon, Presiding Bishop, Orthodox Anglican Church – North America

Thomas E. Gordon, the son of a Presbyterian minister and a Christian school teacher, was born and raised in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. In 2008, he was the organizing minister of St. Philip the Evangelist Anglican Church and, in 2012, he was called upon to serve his alma mater, Saint Andrew’s Theological College and Seminary, as its seventh President. In November of 2014, he was nominated to be the sixth Presiding Bishop of the Orthodox Anglican Church and the Metropolitan Archbishop of the Orthodox Anglican Communion. The nomination was unanimously supported by church delegates from the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada at a Special General Convention held on April 18, AD 2015.  His previous appointments in the Orthodox Anglican Church include Rector of St. Philip the Evangelist Anglican Church, Canon to the Ordinary, Suffragan Bishop, and Bishop Coadjutor.
